The League of Friends of Stratton Hospital

The League of Friends of Stratton Hospital is a Charity

registered with the Charity Commission in April 1970 (registered Charity no. 261031), and managed by a Board of Trustees.

From donated funds we supplement the services provided by Stratton Hospital, Stratton Medical Centre, Bude Surgery and community healthcare services – as and when requested – for the health, welfare and comfort of the patients, staff, users and other persons in the community, by the provision of facilities and equipment which may be required. These are items which are additional to those provided by the NHS.

Our secretary is Chris Roberts, (tel 07710 212658) email:- chris@sillybilly.me.uk and our treasurer is Stephen Hutchinson, email info@strattonhospitalfriends.org.uk

Any correspondence for the League of Friends should be sent to Stratton Hospital, Hospital Road, Stratton, Bude, Cornwall EX23 9BR.

Anyone can become a member of the League by paying an annual subscription of £5, or become a life member on payment of £50. These amounts can be gift aided to produce more income for the League. Please contact Gwyn Marks for a membership form, email gwynmarks@cgbgiftware.co.uk. We are always grateful for any help which members can provide at fundraising activities, or help in general with the League’s work.

The main objects of the League as quoted in our constitution are:

To assist patients and former patients of Stratton Hospital and other people in the community, who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm or in need of assistance and generally to support the charitable work of the said Hospital and community healthcare services in the area served by the Hospital.
